Happy Thanksgiving

I am so excited that in the next two days we get to celebrate so much!!!

First, we get to celebrate an American Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. This year we get to be back in the States -- we are in Lompoc with Jimmy's mom and all of that side of the family. We will get to enjoy a huge feast and see lots of family we have missed for a year. :)

Also, Jimmy and I will celebrate our 4th anniversary on Thanksgiving day. What a perfect time -- for I am EVER SO THANKFUL that God has brought me such a wonderful husband. I fall in love with him more and more every day. Here is a picture from our special day -- Nov 27, 2004.

Later Thanksgiving day, I am thrilled to watch the annual UT / A&M game! Living in Australia, I don't get to see my Longhorns play often. Hook 'em Horns!

And then on Friday, my sweet mother-in-law is throwing us a Baby Shower. It's going to be so much fun! I can't believe we are having a baby shower -- it makes it more of a reality that we're going to have a baby!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. :)

Back in the USA

We flew back to LA yesterday. We had a GREAT flight on the new Airbus A380. What a plane! It was probably the quietest and smoothest flight I’ve ever taken . . . which is nice considering we were flying for 14 hours!

We are doing well and enjoying staying at the Heim’s, drinking fountain DP, and eating lots of great food! We had In & Out for lunch, then tri-tip for dinner yesterday. And we're having Chili's today. Yes!

Yesterday we got to go to Target and add some stuff to our baby registry for the shower Mary Beth (my mother-in-law) is throwing us on November 28th. That was super fun! If you want, you can check it out at www.target.com.

Oh, and some other fun news – I think I felt the baby moving yesterday!!!!! We were waiting for to be picked up from LAX and I felt this weird rippling feeling – almost like ripples of water or something like that. It’s not average to feel it this early – I’m 15 weeks, and you usually feel it from about 16 weeks onward (but a first time mom usually doesn’t feel it till 18 weeks or so). So, I’m not exactly sure, but it kept happening throughout the day and I’ve never had this feeling before. So cool!

We do have a cell phone if you want to call us: 714-488-3808. We are borrowing it, so will only have it for a few weeks.

We are glad to be back and hope we get to see you while we are here!

Love, Meagan

14 Weeks

We are packing and getting ready to fly back to the USA tomorrow morning! We are excited to see family and friends, rest a bit, and eat some great American food! :)

This week we got to go in for another Dr. appt and ultrasound. They took my weight and it seems like it has finally stabilized (I was the same weight as the last time I weighed myself a week before). That was great news since every time I weighed myself in the past two months, I was losing weight. The dr. said it was okay, and that I should start to put on the kilo's now.
Also, Joey looks great! We got to see the little one moving all around, opening/closing its mouth, swinging its arms, moving its head, and jumping up and down. It was great to see the baby doing so well. Again, it's hard to believe all that movement is going on in my body. I can't wait till I can feel Joey's movements!
The baby has definitely grown. You can tell on the ultrasound that Joey is much bigger than last time. In fact, I have a website that tracks my progress and it says the baby is about the size of an apple! Wow!

Here is the pic -- you can see the profile of the head and the arm sticking straight up. The rest of the body was out of the pic.

Also, here are some "belly" shots we took last night.
