A Bit Discouraged . . .

This week I am into my 10th week of pregnancy! While I'm really excited about that, I must say I have been a bit discouraged this week. Monday I came down with a head cold that has persisted all week, Tuesday I either got a stomach bug or I ate something bad, and then throughout the week I have continued to struggle through "morning" sickness and exhaustion. I feel like my body is just wrecked this week . . . and yeah, it has left me a bit discouraged.

If you could please be praying for all three of us, we would really appreciate it. For Jimmy, that God would continue to give him the energy to take on the extra weight of our ministry and duties around the house. He continues to sacrifice so much of himself so that I can rest. And I pray that God would be his strength and draw Jimmy closer to Himself during this time.

For Joey, if you cold pray that our little one would be getting the nutrition he/she needs from my body. I don't have much to offer our baby right now, but I pray that it will continue to be healthy! Yesterday, I was reading the passage where Jesus feeds the 5000 on the loaves and fish. I am praying just like Jesus miraculously multiplied the food to nourish those people He loved, that He would do the same in my body for Joey!

And for me, would you pray that God would heal my body and give me the endurance to walk through each day. Also, that I would find my hope and joy in the Lord, and not in my present circumstances.

Thanks!!
~Meagan

Hang in there girl! Just a few more weeks until you're out of the 1st trimester and hopefully you'll be feeling better in no time. Head colds are much worse when you're prego because your nasal membranes are all ready swollen. But it's amazing to think that it's just another sign of God's miracle in your body! He's already pumping more blood through your body, which makes your blood vessels expand, which makes your nose stuffy. Joey is getting the blood needed to make him/her healthy- praise the Lord for that!

We're praying for you! Don't worry, you will start to feel better in a few weeks. I remember that a lot of pregnancy felt pretty torturous (I just gave birth to #2 six weeks ago), but once you have your little joey in your arms, it will all be worth it. We are very excited for you. Every time I get an update letter from you I first scan it to see if there is any baby news--lol. Now there is!
